Salt Lake-based Weider Nutrition International Inc. has seen sales of its new PhenCal 106 diet product produce roughly $9 million in sales since its introduction in May.
Weider manufactures and supplies health and fitness products worldwide, including sports nutrition, bottled drinks, energy and endurance diets, natural vitamins and nutritionally-based snack bars.
On May 15, Weider introduced PhenCal 106 and sales of the product topped $2 million in the first two weeks, according to Jim Hine, vice president of marketing.
"Gross annual revenues for the entire company for the fiscal year that ended May 31 were $217 million.
