Western Digital Corp. and Maxtor Corp. have both announced new 3.5-inch disk drives for the desktop computer market, all with enhanced IDE features.
Irvine, Calif.-based Western Digital has added four drives to its Caviar line. All of the drives feature 10-millisecond access times, 4,500-RPM spindle speeds, and support for 11.1MBps data transfer rates.
