Piracy is the unauthorized use or illicit duplication of materials protected by copyright law. Print books, computer software, CD-ROMs and Web pages may be pirated. Below are some of the terms used in connection with copyright infringement:
Plagarism: Plagiarism may include copying a work and/ or passing a work off as the product of one's own mind. Where plagiarism is an appropriation of ideas, without appropriation of the actual expression of those ideas, it is not a violation of copyright since copyright does not protect ideas.
