Are retailers giving shoppers more choices than they can handle?
I have a jet-setting friend who says the best store in the whole world is Colette, in Paris. It's stress-free shopping, she explains, because the store offers a carefully edited selection of the most au courant items. What some people would find restricting, she finds oddly liberating.
I know several people who feel the same way about Trader Joe's. They find shopping there faster and more time-efficient than a conventional supermarket It's also easier on the psyche, one pal noted.
