Denver-based WildBlue Communications Inc. announced yesterday that it has signed a contract with KoSpace to supply transceivers for its Ka-band Internet service. The company said it has now established fixed price contracts for all major components of the subscriber equipment for its system.
The transceiver will contain the electronics in its small, 24-by- 26-inch mini-dish antenna, WildBlue said. KoSpace of Seoul was spun off about six years ago by the international conglomerate Hyundai Electronics Industries and has since supplied satellite electronics for Space Systems/Loral, as well as other electronics, for companies such as Daewoo, LG (the Lucky Goldstar group), L-3 Communications, Samsung, Sharp and Toshiba.
