Microsoft Windows NT may continue to win friends and influence people at the low end of the price-performance curve, but on the high end it has yet to prove itself.
Marketing rhetoric aside, some network managers are skeptical of Windows NT Server's ability to function as an enterprise-scale application server because it has yet to deliver the reliability and scalability of Unix. And in the file-serving space, some feel NT Server is not yet on par with Novell NetWare.
