In 1998, VARBusiness conducted a laboratory review of workstations that we called Dual-Processor PCs. We also published a product report on those devices. Our winner in the lab was the Compaq Professional Workstation 6000 a device which, coincidentally, also came in first in our survey of VARs nominating those devices for inclusion in the Top Products of 1998.
Professional NT workstations are similar to common desktop personal computers, but they're on steroids.
