Before Jim Moore had finished a prototype, his RoJaus wine decanter was featured on the cover of the International Wine Accessories catalog, giving him more business than he initially expected.
"It was a balancing act, not to sell too many in the beginning until the inventory could be built up," says Moore. "It's a little scary, balancing orders versus inventory."
Moore's wife, Gail, presented him with the idea of creating a wine product to enhance the flavor of wine. He used his engineering background to apply the functionalism of decanters, aerators and filters featured in wine catalogs to develop his own aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-use product.
