If you close your eyes and tune into WLCH 91.3 FM in Lancaster, you can almost picture yourself on a beach in Puerto Rico.
"We're the envy of a lot of communities," said Enid Vazquez-Pereira, station manager of the public radio station, which broadcasts dance music and Spanish-language informational programs to a 15-mile radius from the Spanish-American Civic Association building at 30 N. Ann St. in Lancaster.
WLCH, which has been broadcasting since 1987, remains the only Latino-owned public radio station in the Northeast, said Vazquez-Pereira.
