It takes lots of help to sustain a state-of-the-art global supply process. Here are some of the key players.
DHL: Brian Bralynski, Director of National Accounts, Mid-Atlantic Region
According to DHL's Brian Bralynski, Director of National Accounts, Mid-Atlantic Region, last year's merger with Airborne Express has enhanced DHL's ability to serve Procter & Gamble's express transportation requirements both domestically and internationally. Presently, says Bralynski, the DHL relationship extends outside of North America. P&G has endorsed DHL as a primary carrier throughout the world, covering 37 different countries where P&G has operations.
That represents a sizeable portion of P&G's business; and shipments with DHL are likely to grow in the future, Bralynski says, as P&G continues to consolidate and streamline its logistics operation and supplier base. Impiementing such a strategy brings with it a number of advantages, including reduced transportation and logistics costs, improved customs and regulatory compliance, global reporting and better supply chain visibility.

P&G distributes products to more than five billion consumers in 140 countries.

DHL's diversified organizational structure is well-suited to support P&G's demanding supply chain requirements, says Bralynski."The real opportunity for both companies,"he says,"is in aligning our management teams and business units globally, in order to achieve even more value from the relationship." DHL comprises four business units in express transportation and logistics-DHL Express (global small parcel service); DHL Danzas Air and Ocean (air and ocean transportation, customs brokerage); DHL Solutions (specialized services for global industry sectors);and DHL Freight (DHL's European Road and Specialized Transport division).
