Xicor Inc.'s new EEPROM-based microcontroller peripheral memory device is designed to extend the memory capability of advanced microcontrollers. The 64-Kbit device, the X88064, adds Xicor's Block Lock memory segmentation to popular bytewide EEPROMs and incorporates Intel's MCS251 address and data bus.
