Visitors to MANA's web page (www.manaonline.org) have found the link to the MANA/NAM web page that explains how the two associations work together for the benefit of their respective members. Just as the NAM exists in the United States and serves as a valuable ally to the manufacturers' representative, an association exists in Europe that serves a large constituency that is of interest to not only reps in Europe, but also in this country.
A Solid European Networking Contact
The German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (English translation of the ZVEI) promotes the joint economic, technological and environmental policy interests of the German electrical and electronics industries. Member companies number more than 1,400, with a combined turnover of approximately 150 billion U.S. dollars. The ZVEI helps its members make decisions by providing information on developments in international markets. It also fosters the exchange of information and experience among members and helps in the search for joint answers to technological, political and social issues.
As the size of the business world continues to shrink and as trade barriers between countries continue to disappear, MANA members should be aware of this association - as well as others that we'll profile from time to time - and view it as a possible resource...
