Vietnams coffee industry, one of the main export industry, is facing many fluctuations and challenges in the context of the increasingly demanding global market in sustainability and transparency. The high price of coffee has benefits farmers, but it also causes a bumper situation and a broken supply of the European Unions anti -deforestation (EURR), climate change and change in consumer demand that are posing new requirements for coffee producing countries, especially Vietnam - the worlds second largest coffee exporting country. 2023-2024, Vietnams total coffee exports reached about 1. 45 million tons, a turnover of nearly 5. 43 billion USD. Compared to the previous crop, the output decreased by 12. 7%, but the value increased by 33% thanks to high coffee prices. The average export price reached 3,673 USD/ton, up nearly 50% compared to the 2022-2023 crop. The main export markets of Vietnam are EU (41%), USA (6%), Japan (10%), South Korea (7%) and China (5%). The EU continues to be the largest market, affirming the importance of this area for Vietnams coffee industry. However, the 2023-2024 crop also recorded strong price fluctuations in the history of the coffee industry. Mr. Thai Anh Tuan, General Director of 2-9 Coffee Co. , Ltd.
