Norway has introduced a new round of sanctions against President Putin and the Russian regime. The sanctions speglar the EU si niande sanctions package, which was adopted by the EU on 16 December 2022.
"It is absolutely necessary to react against Russia's brutal warfare in Ukraine. Norway has continued to stand together with the EU on strengthened sanctions against Russia, victory Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt.
The new sanctions package goes further in imposing restrictions on goods and services that are important to Russia. The historically encompassing sanctions are intended to reduce Russia's ability to finance the war in Ukraine in violation of international law.
"The moglegheits for engaging in trade with Russia are particularly limited and involve high risk," the foreign minister stressed.
