The Makati Public Safety Department (PSD) has apprehended at least 7,719 traffic violations last month following its intensified operations on major roads and secondary streets throughout the city to promote road discipline and obedience to traffic rules.
Restoring order and discipline on the streets was among the priorities announced by Mayor Abby Binay when she assumed office in July last year. She immediately ordered the PSD to conduct daily on-street operations against all kinds of obstructions, including illegally parked vehicles, illegal public transport terminals and street vendors.
